Freedom Walk and other thoughts from the big red bus

Posted by on July 2, 2012

Tonight’s report is going to be just a series of pictures and random thoughts – except this:  I am so jazzed about all the places we’ve been that offer up lesson plans and copies of this for us to easily use in the classroom.  Samantha at the State Building, the plans at the Paul Revere house, and some we found at the museum for the USS Constitution – those are just from today!  I think this is really cool because it saves me the time and hassle of finding them myself.  My goal is going to be to use many of the primary source documents as well as the books and stories I’m finding in my reading groups next year!

And now, for the random thoughts…

Paul Revere young and old. If I were on a bill and Ted kind of adventure, I’d use the phone booth to pick up Paul. I’d like to chat with him.

The Old North Church was really interesting.  It’s cool that it is still a working parish.  It would be really terrific to go to church there on a Sunday morning.

Sometimes I felt like I was in Europe.  The streets are narrow and old.  I loved this street – all brick and stone except the happy flowers in the window boxes.

Anna is ambling down the Freedom Road.

W-A-T-E-R !!

You’d think that MIT would have smart enough people that their buildings wouldn’t be folded and wrinkly!

I studied at Harvard.  How about you?
