I hope you had a warm and love-filled Valentine’s Day. I enjoy the day, and especially so when I can celebrate it with fifth graders. Don’t you just love those little Valentines, filled with silly jokes and funny pictures? I loved being a teacher this week because I had a valid excuse to buy a box of Valentines and take the time to address and sign them, fold them and add a sticker. The kids brought in hand-made boxes to receive their Valentines – and it made me remember making boxes of my own. Simple, precious moments that we can harbor in our memories forever.
This one even had a lever that helped the Valentines drop into it!
